As a kid, I was always obsessed with insects. You know what I mean! My room, my books…I would get up in the morning, sit on the floor and look up anxiously waiting for those pesky flies to pop out of the corner of my eye or when they started coming down from their perch and landing on everything including me. It’s almost like an ingrained habit, we just have to go through it until our eyes burn out from looking at all those little bugs. Well, I have some good news for you guys now, this is not how life is going to be if you don’t come prepared now. Yes, this is bad for you because many of us already suffer from allergies. But, there are still ways to avoid such problems. And the best part is most ways do not even require any special equipment. So without further ado, let’s take a look at one such way!
Diacetyl Phthalate

Yes, diacetyl phthalate is a chemical found in over two hundred products that are sold today (just check your supermarket), yet, it has a long history of being used as a pesticide (just check out food labels to see where the product comes from). Diacetyl phthalate is found in these types of pesticides which means that if you eat foods that contains this chemical, then you can potentially expose yourself to various health complications. You can imagine how scary it can be for your health if you start eating things that contain this substance! Luckily though, it’s something we can avoid by using natural remedies on ourselves. All you need to do is follow seven simple steps to protect yourself from bugs and other pests.
Clean Your House Every Day

It’s time to wake up and start cleaning your home. In case you haven’t already noticed, pest infestations are not uncommon in homes, especially around spring. Make sure that you clean your house as much as possible around this time of year. Start by rinsing all the windows and doors and scrubbing your floors and walls. Keep mop and dust cloths near your sink and make sure you empty them every night before going to sleep. At school, turn off lights after class to avoid attracting the attention of children and animals that might try and steal your favorite snacks if you won’t give them proper attention. Next thing you know, your house might not smell as bad anymore after these steps. If you want to use soap, dilute several drops of water with equal parts oil and vinegar and add to the mixture a bit of lemon juice and a dash of olive oil. Let it sit for 5 minutes and spray lightly onto the affected area. After your sprays dry, you can vacuum or wet mopping as per usual to remove all traces of dirt and pollen from the carpet or carpets. Do not forget to vacuum after vacuuming because if you leave the machine running too long, then you might attract dust mites which are known to be carriers of viruses including COVID-19. Vacuuming regularly will help you keep your home smelling fresh and fresh again. Clean your furniture every so often, wipe up spills immediately and rinse your dishes immediately after use. Once you do that, it doesn't matter how big your fridge is, it will still get cleaned every day. Just make sure to wash your hands afterward before touching any surfaces to avoid germs from spreading. Be careful when picking vegetables as well, they should be washed thoroughly in hot tap water and cut into pieces rather than chopping into small pieces. Wash fruits before cooking as well

Wash Flowers With A Chlorinated Water Solution
If flowers are not enough for you, don’t worry, we’ve covered more than enough. However, as mentioned above; you can easily spot insects in flowers using your smartphone camera. Use acetone instead of boiling water to kill bugs and bugs and insects in general. This solution contains alcohol and sodium hydroxide, meaning that this acid neutralizes any bacteria present in plants. The process is similar to washing the leaves in summer, they are dipped in a chlorinated water solution, and if you smell anything burning, then throw it away. Before you use this solution, make sure to completely submerge the flowers in the solution for 2 minutes. Remove the flowers using a knife that’s sharp enough to slice them apart and rinse them with luke warm water. You can also blow dry them using a hair dryer as it helps reduce evaporation of oils as well. Put cotton balls on the bottom of the vase and gently pour rubbing alcohol on top. Add 1-2 drops of hydrogen peroxide and let the solution sit there for 30 seconds so that the alcohol acts as a preservative. Finally, fill the vase to half full with acetone and put it back in the refrigerator while you wait for it to cool down. Try spraying the vase once with the diluted solution and then re-wiping it. For extra protection against bugs, place an old toothbrush inside the vase as a deterrent and wipe it thoroughly after each use. Also, be aware that the fumes emitted from the vise might irritate sensitive eyes (if necessary, wear protective eyewear), so try to wash and rinse your hands after each and every use. Now, to finish off your clean up, simply wipe the excess chemicals using a damp paper towel to completely get rid of remaining moisture. Place the lid on the vase and store in the freezer as the leftover acetone may cause the vase to dry out.
Use Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera is the perfect remedy to fight bugs as its aloes act as antifungal substances that repel cockroaches and spiders as well. According to research, aloe vera gel is able to effectively combat most insects in addition to keeping mosquitoes away. Therefore, if you want to beat off a few irritating creatures, you must start applying aloe vera gel as soon as you notice that you’re suffering from insects. Prepare for the worst by putting plenty of it around home. To get the most benefits, mix one teaspoon of aloe vera gel into a glass of boiling water in a cup and stir until it starts foaming. Using a spoon, apply the liquid to the affected area for 15-30 minutes continuously. Leave it on for as long as you need. Then, wash off with cold water to stop itching. Reapply the gel twice a week depending on whether your home gets a lot or a little bug problem. In addition, you can also try placing 10 to 15 drops of sulfur in the vase and letting it sit overnight at 60ºC. As you can see, this method works great and is effective at fighting all sorts of bugs. Lastly, don’t forget to add honey to the solution to enhance the effects of the medicine.
Use Vinegar Salt
Vinegar salt can help in reducing inflammation too. Studies show that it contains vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes that can help treat and prevent conditions like migraine headaches, arthritis pain, and muscle spasms. Mix one tablespoon of vinegar salt into warm water (you need to have refrigerated so that it does not boil over), drink this solution 2-3 times a day and you'll be good to go. Alternatively, you can buy commercial bottles specifically designed to contain vinegar salts from pharmacies or supermarkets.
Protect Yourself Against Spider Mites
Spider mites are a common challenge in both humans and pets. They feed on dead skin cells and eggs and have been found to transfer a certain type of disease called sarcoptic plague. Sarcoptic plague is extremely painful and causes a scab up the surface of the body in 3 weeks that lasts for months. There is nothing worse than biting a spider bite or scratching with too much passion after that because your skin becomes inflamed and infected. That's why people spend countless hours cleaning their houses while spider mites continue to multiply. Spiders can appear anywhere in your home in the form of webs, cobwebs or even flies. Don't be scared though, there are numerous methods to defeat them. First, just turn off your faucet and your taps and try to stay away from them. If they don't get you, use gloves whenever handling pets of all kinds to eliminate any harm to their skins. Second, avoid sleeping under silk blankets as they trap a lot of spider mite eggs. Lastly, avoid scratching your skin and clothing against fabrics and hard materials because it attracts more of them around your home.
Get Rid Of Bacteria On Plants & Fruits
If you think you're allergic to fruits and vegetables, try getting rid of microorganisms present in them. Here are some ideas to help you tackle the enemy that bites you: Cut produce like pineapple into chunks so that the fruit is more exposed to air. If you want to take a step further and remove the seeds, they are actually edible too. Wash ripe bananas with bleach and then soak it in boiling water for 30 minutes so that all the pulp falls off. The next thing to do is remove the green peel and allow the fruit to sit in the sun before taking a sip of tea or coffee and drinking to enjoy its goodness. Or, you can add lime juice to the water to wash your citrus fruit clean. You could also take an apple or pear and squeeze the outer layer to extract all the seeds. Afterward, grind all the seeds to create an easy snack that you can consume on a daily basis. Another thing to remember is that if you don't mind eating weeds and grasses, there are biodegradable weed killers
